The KH 970 model is called a Stitch Leader. It is appropriately named. It is our top of the line machine model. This model is unique! One can program in a shape of a garment, a stitch pattern creation and it can be a fabulous garment with a beautiful design. It sounds easy and it is. The machine will lead us into knitting if we follow the manual of instructions and have some lessons on knitting by machine. This is not a mail order machine. Please see a local dealer for purchase. The lessons are important as there are 12 programs involved.
There is a message center, and other settings that are actually programs, short and to the point or some longer ones that are active. It gives a run through the programs on the longer ones somewhat like a family of computer based TREE. I’m sure you have heard of these words in this stated relationship. It also has a built-in calculator. When you install a pattern shape piece and a gauge guide, it gives you the answers. One can select from 665 stitch patterns. Add to that, the variations keys to change the way the pattern is knitted and you have more. Add to that figure now of all the wonderful ones that you can create on your own and save into the CB-1 box ( the brains of the machine), you have many more of them.
The brochure only gives you a slight bit of the information about the machine. You really have to see this machine at a dealership in order to see the full value of it as a designer tool.
The machine is like a built in calculator. Yet one can call up any of the hundreds of Stitch patterns built in to knit some very fancy fabrics. Combine a shaped piece with a design pattern together and the fabric is really a sensation. Please see one and you will be truly amazed.
